S-Town is a new postcast by the producers of Serial and This American Life. And it is a blockbuster (https://www.nytimes.com/2017/04/05/arts/s-town-podcast-blockbuster-status.html?_r=0) having been downloaded 16 million times in it’s first week.

Let’s put that in perspective with film grosses and the average movie ticket price for 2017 at $8.65 (according to BoxOfficeMojo.com). That means if each download costs the movie ticket average it would amount to $138, 400, 000.

The story starts when John B McLemore contacts the show about a murder in his small town of Woodstock, Alabama. And what proceeds from there, according to the s-town podcast website: “HE ASKS a reporter to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But then someone else ends up dead, sparking a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man’s life.”

This Southern Gothic mystery unfolds in a most unexpected way. Investigative Journalist, Brian Reed, helps to reveal bits and pieces over the 7 episodes. Changing perspectives, motivations, pain, suffering, and even brilliance are all part of this engrossing story.

What does a life fully lived mean to each of us? In this short amount of time we actually have on earth.
