Yes. I am posting this video as a bonus fascination. Have already watched it 4 times (and it’s a safety video). Seems to me they should release the song by itself. An example of using creativity to update a stale, often ignored, safety announcement. It also is inspiring that a company would spend time and resources to educate and entertain. Well done.

There is an artist name Lori Mitchell who keeps the spirit of trick or treating alive and well in her folk art. She is a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and has created a series of Halloween figurines, releasing new figures each year. Look, I know figurines are not for everyone. But for those out there that do like them (looking at you Mom and Sister), these are a great set to collect. I enjoy how each character is created as an original paper mache work of art. Take a look at the works below and remember those fall nights, walking around in costume, under the starry sky with the autumn moon in the distance.

Discovered this website/event/online community through a Ted Talk online “Matt Cutts: Try something new for 30 days”. Intriguing. The website/event/online community has been created to support writing the novel you have always wanted to write. By writing 1,667 words a day for 30 days you can achieve this goal. And on the website you become a “winner” and “novelist” by crossing the 50k word finish line by midnight on November 30th. Creative, inspiring, daunting, and hard work.

Matt Cutts: Try Something New for 30 Days
This film qualifies as a weekly fascination, especially considering we have already seen it 2.5 times (Twice in 3D). It is an incredible, visually breathtaking film of the highest order. Director Alfonso Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Y Tu Mama, Tambien) has set a new standard for filmmaking. And seeing it in 3D is really an imperative to get the true sense of depth and scope. It will be nominated for Best Picture as will Sandra Bullock for Best Actress. Go to see it and remember to breathe.
The Art Student Showcase was an incredible art gallery that I stumbled upon one day while living in NYC. Paul Toner, the owner, worked with up and coming artists in this unique location in Soho. The prices were reasonable and you could get some of the most amazing art. It was a hidden gem. Recently found out that Art Student Showcase has closed. But Paul informed me that he is opening a new store in Rome. So, next time you are in Italy visit Paul and his showcase, and tell him I said “Ciao”.
