Have you heard of the cronut? It’s a combination of a croissant and donut. And NYC is going crazy over it. There are news articles about fakers and even a black market for this new pastry. The 200 cronuts made each day sell out in minutes after the 8am opening. Some patrons are waiting 2 hours to get their fix. Created by Chef Dominique Ansel and launched May 10th, 2013, the sweet has become a sensation. Fascinating.
Pride and Prejudice was an Academy Award Nominated film from 2005, starring Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen. It was ultimately nominated for 4 Academy Awards, including Best Original Score. We have listened to this soundtrack so many times! For us, it has been the perfect background music for most occasions: Cocktail parties, lounging around Sunday afternoon, cleaning the house. Classic, sweeping, lush.
Paris is the most beautiful city in the world. There is not enough room in this blog to express how amazing, romantic, lovely, and inspiring this place is. There are a few places where it becomes even more magical at night, Paris in one. During the day grab a baguette, cheese and parisian chocolates. At night get a bottle of wine and head to the Pont Des Artistes to mingle with the locals to watch the sunset over the Seine. La plus belle ville du monde.
Obsessed with this song. It reminds me of summer, a season not usually enjoyed because of the heat. But this song makes me think of a pleasant summer breeze, cold beer, a ride in a car with the top down, and the movie Dirty Dancing. Love it when a song encourages listeners to just let go and enjoy. Take a listen and think of a warm (but not too warm) summer night.
