Combine Macbeth, Film Noir, a 1939 Hotel, 100 rooms, 6 floors, a Dance Concert, Performance Art and stir. An incredible, immersive night out. Filled with actors/dancers moving about in an incredible space. Totally unique and mesmerizing. Not for everyone as there is not a clear narrative and it is provocative. But, if you can go with the flow, you will stumble upon things you have never seen before. Gasp inducing, mind-blowing and incredible.
Sleep No More is an immersive theatre installation created by British theatre companyPunchdrunk based on Punchdrunk’s original 2003 London production and their 2009 collaboration with Boston’s American Repertory Theatre. The company reinvented Sleep No More in a co-production with Emursive, and began performances on March 7, 2011. The production takes place at a block of warehouses in Manhattan, which the company transformed into an abandoned hotel called The McKittrick Hotel. Sleep No More won the 2011 Drama Desk Award for Unique Theatrical Experience and won Punchdrunk special citations at the 2011 Obie Awards for design and choreography.
